The Relationship Between ADHD and Autism

ADHD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a neurobehavioral disorder characterized by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. This disorder has been associated with many other disorders such as dyslexia and with later research, ADHD Autism.

Autism is a developmental disorder that starts at birth or during the first 2 years of a person’s life. Children with this kind of disorders may look perfectly normal in appearance but show disturbing behaviors. The symptoms affect children in their social interaction, behavioral development and communication.

While ADHD and autism are two different disorders, they share some common symptoms. Some children with ADHD show a delay in their social and motor skills and exhibits intense sensitivity to stimuli. These symptoms are similar to what autism has.

The researches of these two disorders are also very different. ADHD research is a lot more focused on the core symptoms of this disorder while autism research examines its root causes.

Both autism and ADHD are developmental disorders. However, to differentiate them further we have provided a checklist for you to refer to:

ADHD behavioral checklist

- Difficulty in controlling hyperactivity.

- Sudden temper outbursts

- Always “on the go”

- Does not think about caution or consequences

- Interrupts conversations

- Talks incessantly

- Have trouble waiting in line or waiting for their turn in games

- Makes careless mistakes

- Forgetful

- Disorganized

- Easily sidetracked

Autism behavioral checklist

- they have trouble interacting with other children

- lack of perception on what is right and what is wrong

- unreasonable display of tantrums

- shows extreme hyperactivity or extreme under activity

- trouble having eye contact

- poor motor skills

- impulsive and makes careless mistakes

- they either want too much cuddling or not want cuddling at all

When you look at these symptoms closely, you can see a huge similarity in the symptoms of ADHD and autism. While we cannot say that ADHD can progress into autism, there is a possibility that such a thing can occur.

Like ADHD learning disabilities, it is important to prevent ADHD autism from happening. You can do this by giving them healthy and natural treatments such as good diet, exercise, behavioral therapies and homeopathic remedies.

Combining homeopathic remedies to those other natural methods can give your child maximum protection from ADHD autism.

Homeopathic remedies help in reducing symptoms of hyperactivity and can improve the concentration of a child with ADHD. Stimulant drugs also have the same efficacy in reducing ADHD symptoms but homeopathic remedies will not cause any side effects.

Homeopathic remedies only utilize natural ingredients such as Arsen Iod and Hyoscyamus. This will be beneficial in promoting an inner healing process.

You should not allow ADHD autism to creep into your child’s life. You have to be smart in your medication and treatment choices and choose the safest way to help them and can improve their over all health in the long run.
