Passport outreach to start

People planning to travel outside the United States and in need of passports can expect a more streamlined application process this weekend.

A number of Capital Region post offices host National Passport Day on Saturday. The day gives individuals and families an opportunity to meet with the passport agencies at participating post offices without an appointment.

The passport acceptance facilities and passport agencies will be assisting families plan out the necessary paperwork, fees and processing times. All Capital District locations will be providing passport photo services to the applicants.

Albany, 30 Karner Road, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Colonie Center, 1425 Central Ave., 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Stuyvesant Plaza, 1475 Western Ave. Suite 45, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Altamont, 108 Park St., 9:30 a.m.-noon

Delmar, 357 Delaware Ave., 9 a.m.-noon

East Greenbush, 10 Greenwood Drive, 9-11 a.m.

Glens Falls, 16 Hudson Ave., 10 a.m.-noon

Gloversville, 115 N. Main St., 10 a.m.-noon

Halfmoon, 2 Progress Drive, 10 a.m.-noon

Malta, 12 Hemphill Place, 9 a.m.-noon

Mechanicville, 18 S. Main St., 8:30-10:30 a.m.
