Island beaches rank in travel site’s top ten

Some Island beaches have made the Trip Advisor website’s top ten list for Canada’s best beaches.

The popular travel site placed beaches on PEI’s north shore in fourth place — including Cavendish and Brackley. Argyle Shore, on the Island’s south shore, was in fifth place,

One review on the site called the Cavendish beach “a little piece of paradise”.

Cavendish was picked for its connection to Anne of Green Gables, where author Lucy Maud Montgomery lived and set the scene for her famous books.

It was also picked because theme parks and golf courses are all nearby.
