Fashion’s Night Out: More Bay Area events



Fashion’s Night Out (FNO), which was started in New York in 2009 by Anna Wintour and the Council of Fashion Designers as a way to aid sales for retailers during the recession, has become an international event celebrated every September, with locations in more than 100 cities in 15 countries. The Chronicle printed a guide complete with handy icons to some of the bigger events; check out these additional exciting FNO events taking place around the Bay Area, Thursday, Sept. 6:

  • Blogger Carlina Harris of  “Allergic to Vanilla,” is hosting a Stella Dot jewelry styling party. 5:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, Alamo Square Park, on the corner of Steiner and Hayes Streets.
  • Receive a hair styling consultation by Keter Salon and preview Convert’s Fall 2013 fashions at Convert. 5-8 p.m. 1809 Fourth St. #B  Berkeley.
  • Crimson Mim’s next upcoming Speakers Series will be hosted by the eco-friendly collection, Armour Vet, with a trunk show featuring their never before seen Fall 2013 collection from 3-7 p.m. The duo behind Crimson Mim, Linda Balti and Jacqui Goldman, will also discuss sustainable fashion from 6-7 p.m. 855 El Camino Real, Suite 35, Palo Alto.
  • The eclectic boutique Fiat Lux will celebrate the work of Oakland jeweler, Katie Evans, whose new pieces incorporate multi-colored snakeskin. 5-11 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7, 218 Church St.
