Diet Options In Time for Spring

The HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) diet has developed quite a reputation with outstanding results.

Although most diets are a hit or miss, the HCG diet allows the body to burn between 2,500 and 4,000 calories, resulting in 1 to 2 pounds of weight loss per day. Some even say you can lose up to 30 pounds in as little as a month.

The glycoprotein hormone found in HCG is produced during pregnancy. It acts as a fat burner controlling loss of energy, hunger, and need for exercise, while the HCG allows you to dispose of stored fat simultaneously maintaining the muscle mass.

Jennifer McGrath, office manager of the Georgia Pain Treatment Center located off Riverstone Parkway says one of their patients has lost up to 10 pounds in just one week.

“We are having great results,” said McGrath.

She says patients undergo medical supervision before and during the HCG Diet Program.

The program consists of a restrictive 500 to 1000 daily calorie intake along with a 30-day supply of HCG. As an added incentive, the patient is prescribed a FDA approved appetite suppressant to control hunger.

The patient is instructed to inject the HCG in the lower abdominal each morning while maintaining the low calorie diet.

According to their website, patients can lose up to 21 pounds in just four weeks under the care of a physician.
