Camp the Right Way
Camping is one of America’s favorite weekend pastimes. It is relaxing. Being in the outdoors, however, requires a lot of skill and planning. There are many items that you need to bring and there are even more things that you need to know about sleeping in the Great Outdoors. The main items that are almost a necessary are a tent, sleeping bags, pillows, drinks, food, fishing pole, and bait. Part of camping usually entails fishing. Many people only eat what the catch, some people throw back what they caught. You should always be aware of your surroundings.
Sleeping outside can be a scary thing to think about. You should introduce yourself to the people around you so that you can watch out for each other. You should also check out the camp ground that you are staying at. This way you know their reputation for vandalism and where the good places to pitch a tent are. Some people bring a whole kitchen set with them when they go camping. They have everything you could possible need. To be a true outdoorsy person I think that it takes making your own fire. Cooking your own food, even though you forgot to bring utensils. It is about experiencing nature. Smell the fresh air. Take in the sounds. It does not get any more real than that. Camping can be what you make it.
Just remember to bring plenty of water and some extra food just in case you do not catch anything that first day. You also have to be willing to sleep with the bugs because they will come. Don’t forget your rain coat either because for some reason it always seems to rain when you go camping.
