Burger Island 2 – The Missing Ingredient
Edie Cole Iverson, an emulous and a smart business woman, has come up with a new burger franchise which grabbed a huge customer base within days of its inauguration.
All this has only made situation worse for the green-eyed beauty, Patty Melton and her partner Pierre who runs the burger shop named, Beach burger. Their sales have dropped down drastically and the head chef, Tiki Guy is missing. On realizing that Tiki has been kidnapped by their business rival along with his secret recipes, Patty and Pierre decide on to revive their sales by resorting to measures like expanding their menu, cook up all new recipes, track down new ingredients, and create a fabulous Sauce. These are the fun filled tasks this latest addition to the time management genre offers.
Although not much effort has been made to enhance the category or the game controls, its high production values along with a bunch of alluring extras is what makes this game different from the rest.
The story is narrated through animated series of cartoons blended with stunning quality scenes.
Your have to prepare Sling burgers, omelets and nachos to serve hungry customers. Important point to be taken care of is that all meals are have different ingredients placed at various points around the semicircular serving counter. This counter would preponderate the screen as well. There will be four trays at your disposal with an associated thermometer. The purpose of this thermometer is to alert you about your patron’s patience levels. Minimum cash collecting goals need to be achieved for each day. This would require you to cook patties, chips, eggs etc as fast as you can and bundle them up along with additional sauces to add that special extra flavor. Keep a tab on time as the patron’s would get annoyed by your slow service only to never return.
Beauteous creativity, light-powered sight gags, rustling/frying sound effects and handsome hand-drawn heroes are some of the features exceptional and unique to the game.
There is a place named Experimental kitchen where you can try out new dishes in between the levels by picking and assembling ingredients. Apart from this there are a few silly bonus games like the one in which you help Pierre balance trays on each arm.
On a sad note, discovering new delights for example, garlic burgers and salami omelets, or simply deciding on which island would be the next destination is too plain. Lack of any unexpected contort throughout the game play adds to the boredom. A tip to keep you going would be to work as fast as you can and pile up some dishes in advance to avoid delays.
